We recommend starting puppy training as early as 8 weeks old, as this is when they are most receptive to learning and socialization. Adult training varies by maturity but most dogs are ready at 6 months old. 

Balanced training uses clear communication, structure, and fair corrections paired with rewards and positive reinforcement. It’s about teaching your dog what to do and what not to do—so they can succeed in the human world with confidence and clarity.

Yes. I have extensive experience with fear, reactivity, and aggression cases. These are handled through Board & Train programs or structured in-home lessons with safety protocols in place.

You’re not expected to know that on your own! I offer a free in-home evaluation! I will come to you, meet you and your pet in your own environment, talk about your dog’s behavior, history, and your goals. From there, we’ll find the best fit together!

Absolutely. While your dog stays with me for immersive training, we’ll stay in touch through videos, updates and if your dog comes home for the weekend, you’ll have some homework! At the final take home, we’ll do a transfer session, and then your program includes multiple follow-ups to ensure success at home. 

Each follow-up is hands-on and personalized. I’ll work with you and your dog to reinforce what they’ve learned, help you implement new skills at home, and answer any questions you have.

Yes, payment plans are available for some programs. Let’s talk during your consult to find an option that works for you. Full payment is required before training begins.

Yes. All programs come with lifetime virtual support, so you can reach out with questions or challenges any time—even after training is complete.

I’m based in Lapeer/Imlay City and serve surrounding areas. Travel fees may apply for in-home sessions outside of that radius.

Yes, I do offer multi-dog packages or custom sessions depending on your goals. Contact me for a personalized plan.

Please bring your dog’s food, any medications, two bags of their favorite treats! If you would like them to have their bed or toys, you may bring those as well but please don’t bring anything with sentimental value! 

I guarantee my commitment to your dog and your goals. Because training also depends on owner follow-through, I don’t promise “perfect” dogs—but I do promise a clear plan, tools to succeed, and continued support after training ends.

Yes! I love working with rescue dogs. I offer special support and discounted training for fosters and newly adopted dogs. Ask about current availability.

I don’t list fixed prices because each training program is customized to fit your dog’s needs, behavior, and your goals as an owner. No two dogs are the same, and your training plan shouldn’t be either.
