Hi, I’m Stephanie — a balanced dog trainer helping dogs and their humans live better lives together.
My journey into dog training started with my own German Shepherd. I knew he was going to be too much for me to handle without guidance, so I reached out for help — and that’s when I met my mentor. He trained my first two dogs and introduced me to the world of balanced training. What began as a personal need quickly grew into a passion and purpose.
Today, I work with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and backgrounds. I am passionate about behavior modification — helping dogs who struggle with fear, anxiety, reactivity, or aggression. From overexcited puppies to shutdown rescues, I love watching the transformation unfold. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a dog come into their own, and a family finally find peace and joy in their home. I believe that the key to lasting change lies in clear communication, fair structure, and building a relationship rooted in mutual respect and trust.
One of the most important aspects of my work is helping dogs rebuild (or sometimes create for the first time) trust with their owners. I use a combination of respect, structure, and positive reinforcement to guide dogs toward understanding their place in the world—and help owners feel confident, capable, and connected in the process.
I believe in showing dogs who they can be through guidance, and clear communication — while also teaching owners how to lead confidently and kindly.
I’m a proud member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) and an AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy evaluator. I also work closely with a local rescue and, when I can, I take on pro bono cases — rehabilitating dogs who are on the euthanasia list and finding them loving homes after training.
Helping dogs and their people is more than a job — it’s my calling. And I’m so grateful I get to do it every day.
From left to right, Arya, Drogon, Daenerys, Diesel.
These are my personal dogs—and they’re more than just companions. Each one helps me with socialization, structure, and setting the tone during training sessions. Their calm, consistent presence makes them incredible teachers for other dogs.
Arya
Arya is the thinker of the group. She’s highly intelligent, quick to learn, and always tuned in. Don’t let her smarts fool you—she’s also the friendliest of the crew and absolutely loves people.
Dani
My high-drive working-line shepherd, Dani is full of energy and purpose. She thrives when given a job and brings a ton of enthusiasm to everything she does. Sweet, spirited, and eager to please—Dani is always ready to work.
Diesel
Diesel is the big guy with the big bark. He may sound tough, but he’s a loyal softie to those he trusts. While he’s not the cuddliest of the crew, he’s a steady, loving presence who brings balance and confidence to the pack.
Xena (Not Pictured)
The newest (and youngest) member of the pack, Xena is a lively Boxer puppy with a whole lot of personality. She’s full of life, curious about everything, and already showing off her bold spirit and goofy charm. She’s still learning the ropes, but she’s quickly becoming a bright, bouncy part of the team.
I'm Drogon! I've been learning and training with my mom for as long as I can remember. I am task trained, well mannered and love helping other dogs learn how to stay calm, even with a big, handsome shepherd like me around. You'll probably see me during your sessions, modeling good behavior and helping your pup work through distractions in a safe, structured way! I might look serious, but I promise, I'm all heart!
